| Conflict is a fact of life. Understanding that it is bound to happen is important but how conflict is handled is really what matters most. Conflict Solutions, LLC understands that most people want to live and work with less conflict - whether it is those daily annoyances or the bigger, more complex issues - but just don't have the time to figure out how to resolve it all.
Our MissionTo develop and implement interest-based programs that help families, schools and communities collaborate and communicate in ways that promote academic success.
Company ProfileConflict Solutions, LLC is dedicated to improving education systems through the use of positive and creative conflict resolution. Our programs are interest-based meaning we always learn about our clients current methods and systems and take these into account when designing a new program. We have implemented programs in the following school districts in South Carolina: Lexington/Richland 5, Richland 1 and 2, Darlington, Chester and Berkeley. If you are in another state and are interested in our work, please contact us as the programs are transferable to other states. Mary Ann Joseph Lumpkin, Founder and Director has an MA in Conflict Resolution and BA in elementary education from Columbia College. She taught for four years in an inner-city school with a 98% at risk population in Columbia, South Carolina. This experience, combined with her graduate work in conflict resolution, inspired her to design, develop, and implement programs to improve and enhance the academic opportunities of our youth. Mary Ann has devoted five years researching, developing, and implementing the highly successful Truancy Mediation Program. She has extensive experience in program design, implementation, analysis, and evaluation. She is a certified mediator and facilitator with over 150 hours of training experience. Tracy Gould Sheinin, Co-Director who has an MA in Peace Studies from Antioch University and a BA in
psychology from the University of South Carolina, began her work and training as
a mediator and community juvenile arbitrator in the early 1990s. During
her tenure as President/CEO of the Community Mediation Center of Columbia, SC
she was afforded the opportunities to become certified in community mediation,
family mediation, truancy mediation, victim-offender mediation, and group
facilitation. Tracy has over 200 hours of experience in training diverse
